Thank you everyone who showed up for our first KnightStyle meeting! For those of you who couldn't make it, here's some highlights of what was discussed.

WANT TO GET INVOLVED? There are countless ways to do so!

Currently, we are focusing on creating committees. A committee consists of meeting once or twice a month, discussing ideas with group members and creating an article for this blog(and soon to be .com website) creating a deadline, and submitting the articles to the committee leader.

Below is a summary of what each committee does:

They report and work with the execs (president, vp, etc.)

Style Setter: Spring into Stripes!

Stripes have flooded the stores this spring and are hotter then ever! There are two ways to approach this look, bold and then..not-so-bold. Whatever accommodates your style, both are approachable and easy to wear for a hip look.

Spring runways have proven to have an overload of stripes, specifically the bright cheerful bubblegum stripes. These are for the cheery minded who love to stand out. First off, you must be educated on this topic(earn your stripes per say) we suggest pairing your bright bubblegum stripes with solid separates.

If bright isn't your thing, there are subtle simple stripes. I walked into the mall and was inundated with stripes, everywhere. It blew my mind how hard they were trying to push stripes. Don’t get me wrong I love stripes just as much as the next person but there is a tasteful way to do it as opposed to tacky. By limiting how many stripes are on the top or dress you make them have a more powerful statement. You can also use stripes going in opposite directions to switch things up and not make it look so mundane.

Beauty: Not-So-Fake Eyelashes

Mau’s hair and nail salon in Knights Plaza is the perfect place to make you feel prettier then you already are. With services ranging from waxing to a hair cut, Mau’s is everything and more. Not only is it convienantly located by the UCF arena, all students get an extra 10% off!

The first time I looked at the brochure, I couldn’t help but notice the fake eyelashes. I decided to give them a shot and it was the best idea I’ve ever had! I no longer had to worry about putting the perfect amount of mascara on, and spending precious minutes before class curling them to perfection.

For only 50 dollars, these not-so-fake eyelashes stay on for 3-6 weeks. They are singlely applied for that extra natural look. The lashes are applied above your top lashes with a magical glue. No pain is in involved and it took about a half hour! The best part is, you treat them like normal eyelashes. You can still wear eye makeup, use an eyelash curler, and wash your face in a normal fashion. With options including shorter or longer, and brown or black lashes, they are a great fit for anyone!
