Style Setter: Eye See You

I was dreading the thought of having to wear eyeglasses but once I started looking at the frames I realized that eyeglasses are just another way to accessorize.


 I tried on a million pairs and found that the best looking pair was a pair of Calvin Klein CK7723’s. I loved the black top that transitioned into the tortoise shell at the bottom. Tortoise shell is huge right now because it goes with everything from tan to brown or black and gold (Go Knights!). While trying on a variety of glasses I noticed that the smaller glasses seemed to squish my eyes together and did not show off enough of my face. I would say that if you are thinking of taking part in this trend weather you actually need glasses to see or you just want a new accessory I say the bigger the better. Smaller lenses look dated while a big nerdy look is cute and says, “Yea I’m wearing glasses and I look good doing it!”

These are the Calvin Klein CK7723’s I have. They open up my eyes without over powering my face. Having both black and tortoise shell makes this pair versatile.

Here we take the classic sunglasses worn by the Blues Brothers and turn them into a trendy nerdy look with these Ray Ban Wayfarer’s.

With these Tory Burch 2005 Vintage Tortoise beauties we have the best of both worlds. While they are similar to the Ray Ban’s in the sense that they are rounder, they do incorporate the tortoise shell lens from the Calvin Klein pair.
